What I Do

Since I founded the company in 2005, I have served as CEO of Fairtrasa International, a global social enterprise that empowers small-scale farmers to lift themselves out of poverty through sustainable production and fair trade. In 2018, I co-founded a second social enterprise focused on AgTech for marginalized small-scale farmers, and serve as that company’s CEO as well. Additionally, I am a Gabelli Fellow and Adjunct Professor of Practice at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University in New York, where I teach social entrepreneurship and mentor students; I also mentor at Yale University in my role as Social Entrepreneur in Residence. I deliver frequent talks and lectures on social entrepreneurship, attend conferences (including through AshokaU and the World Economic Forum), and write for HuffPost and other publications.
