In 2014 I was selected a World Economic Forum New Champion. The award was presented at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, which in 2014 was held in Tianjin, China. The awards ceremony was part of a larger conference on social innovation, and the entire week was truly one of the most exciting and inspiring of my life. In addition to Klaus Schwab, many other amazing social innovators from around the world and across sectors spoke about what is being done—and what still needs to be done—to change the world.
